Roukayah Al Farajeh, better know to her teammates as ‘Rookie” made her First Grade debut against NSW Institute in Round 11. Only 16 years of age, Rookie came on as a striker in the 72nd minute and almost ran away with the winner scoring a goal from close range, only to be denied by the Assistant’s Referees offside flag.

Having played park soccer prior to joining the club in 2021, Rookie has spent two seasons in the U18’s squad and has refined her skills as a striker. So much so, that she has caught the eye of 1st Grade Women’s coach Matt Constantini.

She will be looking to further push for selection in the coming months and hopefully stamp her presence in the Women’s First Grade NPL.
